Highline Pirates Volleyball Team Head To District Tournament

The Highline Pirates Women’s Volleyball team is headed back to the district tournament!

With an overall record of 10-4, the Pirates received the 9th seed and will play Franklin Pierce Friday, Nov 11th, at 5 pm.
The Pirates have been led by strong senior leadership, including Angelika Austria, setter (373 assists), Soonafai Alokoa, outside hitter (160 kills), and junior middle blocker Ceci Stacy (180 kills).

These three were named to 2A All Kingco 1st and 2nd teams, voted in by the head coaches of all the league teams. Seniors Sarah Castellon and Shanna Vo have added depth and experience to the Pirate defense and strong serving in critical moments.

With a fast, strong defense, and consistent serving, the Pirates Volleyball team hopes to shine this weekend and continue to make Burien proud!
