Melissa Petrini, Highline School Board Director, Position 4

Late Monday, November 13th, Highline School Board candidate Carlos Ruiz contacted Melissa Petrini via email and congratulated her as “the next School Board Director for District 4,” saying, “the voters have spoken.”  The following are Ms. Petrini’s comments:

Melissa Petrini, Highline School Board Director-Elect, Position 4
Thank you to the voters in the Highline School District for trusting me to represent their interests and concerns for students in our district. Conversations with you during the campaign have provided me with a deeper understanding of the challenges that many families face when seeking a quality education for their kids.
I also want to thank Carlos Ruiz for his hard work and dedication for our children and for his humble acknowledgement of the election results. I look forward to working with Carlos and all the other stakeholders as we seek to make the Highline School District the best possible educational experience for parents, teachers, families and students.
In gratitude,
Melissa Petrini

  1. Thank goodness. Many people run for school board to advance their left wing, anti parent political agenda. Melissa is a parent that really cares about children. Her agenda is common sense and better results. We need more people like her on the school board. Gear up for another epic fight in two years. Peter
