Burien’s Brat Trot and Burien Oktoberfest will return to Downtown Burien on Saturday, October 7.
Highline Schools Foundation opened registration for the events on August 2. Registration and event sponsorships will help raise funds for Highline Public Schools, according to an August 2 announcement.
“Burien Brat Trot remains one of our longest-running and most loved community events,” according to the official news release. “Participation in Burien Brat Trot helps raise critical funds for Highline Schools Foundation and our work throughout Highline Public Schools.”
The 5k Brat Trot will begin at 10 a.m., and the Kids’ 1k will start at 11 a.m. The race will start and finish at Town Square Park on 152nd, although the official route of the race will be announced in September.
Burien Oktoberfest will open at 10 a.m., and all adult racers 21 and up will be given one free tasting in the Beer Garden.
The funds raised from this event will help provide for the basic needs of Highline Public Schools students.
“These funds support our work to provide basic needs…for students at all grade levels and in every school in Highline,” according to the announcement.
