Burien News has discovered that some of the reported Independent Expenditure funds from SEIU to Brittany Williams were used for Patricia Hudson’s campaign. Many questions arise from this. Burien News is not clear on the legality of this and, therefore, will not go down that road. But regardless, it appears deceptive to the public, buried deep into the PDC reporting. It also begs the question, why not correctly assign the benefit of the spending to the recipient candidate?
Patrica Hudson seems to be shy about her role as the Director of Human Resources at SEIU. Her employment at SEIU does not show on her website. It is not found in questionnaires she has filled out to the media. It seems reasonable to ask if this has been a purposeful “sleight of hand” to minimize her SEIU loyalty and likely the SEIU agenda for Burien.
Below are the links to the PDC filings:
C6 Form from July 17 disclosed that $1693 of the Independent Expenditures reported by Brittany Willams’ campaign were designated for the promotion of Patricia Hudson.
C6 Form from July 16 disclosed that $1792 of the Independent Expenditures reported by Brittany Willams’ campaign were designated for the promotion of Patricia Hudson.
C6 Form from July 26 disclosed that $1186 of the Independent Expenditures reported by Brittany Willams’ campaign were designated for the promotion of Patricia Hudson.
C6 Form from July 21 disclosed $1147 of the Independent Expenditures reported by Brittany Willams’ campaign were designated for the promotion of Patricia Hudson.
C6 Form from July 28 disclosed $998 of the Independent Expenditures reported by Brittany Willams’ campaign were designated for the promotion of Patricia Hudson.
C6 Form from July 17 disclosed $786 of the Independent Expenditures reported by Brittany Willams’ campaign were designated for the promotion of Patricia Hudson.
This totals $7602 SEIU funds reported under Brittany Williams’ campaign were actually spent on Patricia Hudson. This means that the percentage of funds Patricia Hudson has received from SEIU, where she is employed, is significantly higher than the previously reported 53% in the Burien-News earlier article.
