With campaign season in full swing and candidates out knocking on doors and sharing their vision for our cities and schools, one candidate for Highline School Board, Melissa Petrini, is seeking to host a group discussion to hear from other parents, teachers, and community members through a listening forum, moderated by a local non-profit organization, Love Is My Religion, to help better understand the needs and issues of those who attend (www.limr.us).
“Over the past 3 years,” says Petrini, “I have loved what they (Love Is My Religion) do and have been voluntarily participating as a ‘regular’ in their online monthly group meetings to talk about the hard stuff that affects us all. They do a beautiful job of helping people come together and listen to each other, and give you a brave space to share what you think too.”

The group event is open to the first 35 respondents, and it is requested that people arrive on time and plan to stay for the whole time to give others a chance to be heard as well.
