Welcome to the month of May…will we see a consistent return of sunshine? I sure hope so! Our Burien Real Estate market is definitely heating up again.
Spring break saw many buyers and sellers traveling and enjoying a little vacation time, so there was a brief lull. However, in the recent past two weeks, a surge of activity and return of multiple offers on many properties has returned.
In our Burien area, there are currently only 32 active residential listings and 34 pending sales, meaning the homes under contract exceed available inventory….advantage sellers. Median days on the market have plummeted to just 5 days for properties to sell.
From my perspective, the Burien Real Estate Market continues to experience a major lack of inventory which is always favorable for sellers.
Buyers, keep the faith! There are always creative ways to write an offer to secure your dream home, and while “losing” on a property can feel disappointing at the moment, have no doubt that this means the right one is coming to you!
What does a million dollars buy you at present? It’s always fun to see how Burien “stacks up” compared to the rest of King County. Here’s a sample of recent million-dollar sales in a variety of communities. I’d say Burien is an absolute gem when you look at how far your money goes.
Here’s wishing all the moms a Happy Mother’s Day! Please, while shopping for gifts (or for yourself), continue to shop locally and support our fabulous Burien businesses!
