“I Love You Mom!” (Local Children Honor Their Mothers)

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. It’s a marvelous opportunity to express your love to your mother and tell her how much you appreciate the countless ways she sacrificed and worked hard to give you a full, rewarding life.

So many beautiful things have been said about mothers!
Here are a few:

And we want to share a few more. We asked some local children to tell us what they appreciated about their mothers. Here are some of the things they told us:

“I love my mother because she helps me thru hard times, and she helps with stuff like homework……..she is the best and coolest person ever!”

“I love my mother because she cooks for me. My mother is special because she cleans for me.”
Chris, age 9

“I love my mother because she is funny and she cooks and cleans for me. Plus, playing with her is fun, like games and sports.”
Elise, age 11

“I love my mother because she loves me! She is a hero to me and my family. She cares and is kind. She can read me like a book, and helps me go through tough things! She’s not just my mom, but a friend.”

“I love my mother because she provides for me. Whenever I am sad, she always makes sure I feel better. And last but definitely not least, she loves me unconditionally. I love my mom!”

“I love my mother because she is awesome and creative, and now I’m creative because of her. She also cooks
for me and my dad every day. She also homeschools me. I love her a lot!”
