Mother’s Day is right around the corner. It’s a marvelous opportunity to express your love to your mother and tell her how much you appreciate the countless ways she sacrificed and worked hard to give you a full, rewarding life.
So many beautiful things have been said about mothers!
Here are a few:
“The loveliest masterpiece of the heart of God is the heart of a mother.” St. Therese of Lisieux
“I can imagine no heroism greater than motherhood.”
“All I am I owe to my mother.” George Washington
“Mother is a verb. It’s something you do, not just who you are.” Cheryl Donovan
“One good mother is worth a hundred schoolmasters.”
“Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.” Unknown
“No language can express the power and beauty and heroism of a mother’s love.” Edwin Chapin
“The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.”
“A mother’s love endures through all.”
“I remember my mother’s prayers, and they have followed me. They have clung to me all my life”.
Those are great thoughts!
And we want to share a few more. We asked some local children to tell us what they appreciated about their mothers. Here are some of the things they told us:
