Grassroots Community Group “Let’s Work Together” Kicks Off Week 4

Hello community of Burien – Residents, Businesses & Building Owners!

Week 4 – Let’s Work Together!

Last week’s council meeting was another HUGE success for us. We packed the chambers with bodies, and many spoke at the public meeting to express our honest condemnation of what the council, city manager and city staff has allowed to happen to our once proud city.

However, the likes of Krystal Marx, Cydney Moore and Charles Schaefer also brought with them many people espousing the ideals of homelessness – almost all from outside of Burien.

The City manager *without* council approval has allowed a Porta Potty to be placed on the property – all without council approval. Please see this link:

https://burien-news.com/2023/04/13/council-member-stephanie-mora-addresses-city-manager-decision-to-negate-council-decision/

Another example of the city working AGAINST the best interests of its residents and businesses.  Should this be tolerated?

We need another FULL HOUSE to this MONDAY’S April 17th Council Meeting:

Taxpayers and Residents and Guests to our town want a clean, vibrant city— actively promoting squatters to come into Burien via a sanctioned anything will not be tolerated.

When we met March 27, 2023, we asked for a 34-week commitment.  We are down to 30 weeks to affect change in Burien, and we are off to an incredible start! November 2023 is the next Burien City Council election.

Let’s Work Together to keep up the momentum!

  1. We’ve created a decade old problem in this town that has suddenly become very visible. Most of the 20 people living at the camp aren’t new people, yet they aren’t getting serviced. Drugs these days are different, and require different interventions. I ask you to please help me, help you, help them. I know we can do community care differently.

  2. DESC doesn’t open for another year, and without support the camp won’t leven get in there. Please, Let’s really Work Together. Across the aisle, we must fix a problem that is bigger than liberal or conservative.
