Sexual Health Education Night for Families is March 15

Below is a message from Highline Public Schools:

We teach comprehensive sexual health education in alignment with state law and district policy. Every year we provide an opportunity for families to review our sexual health curriculum, which is taught in grades 4-12.

FLASH (Family Life and Sexual Health) is our adopted curriculum that meets state requirements for sexual health education. You are invited to an education night to review the curriculum materials and learn more about state requirements.

Sexual Health Education Night

Wednesday, March 15
5:00-6:00 p.m.
Puget Sound Skills Center
18010 8th Ave. S., Burien

The agenda will include:

  • An overview of health education in Highline
  • A presentation on the state requirements for sexual health education and the FLASH curriculum
  • Time for families to view the curriculum
  • Questions and answers session

By Washington State requirements, all families must be given at least a 30-day notice prior to sexual health lessons being taught. Families may opt out of any or all sexual health lessons.

Information about the FLASH curriculum and opt-out forms is available on our website.
