Recipe: Quick and Inexpensive Chinese Food Made at Home!

Quick and Inexpensive Chinese Food
(Serves 4)

Chop and saute in 3 TBS of oil:
1 large onion
1 large green pepper
2 cups celery

Next, add these and simmer:
1 16 oz can bean sprouts
1 8 oz can of bamboo shoots
1 8 oz can of water chestnuts
4 oz can of mushroom pieces

Saute 1 lb of ground beef which
has been made into small meatballs.

Now, in a separate cooking pan,
mix 2 envelopes of Schilling’s
sweet- and- sour mix (following
package directions); you may also
add 3 tbs. molasses for extra
flavor (optional). Next, add in
the meatballs. Simmer 25 min.

Cook 2 cups of minute rice.

To Serve:
Serve vegetable mixture over rice or
dry Chinese noodles. Top with sweet-and-
sour meatball mixture. (You may season
with soy sauce.) Enjoy!
