Below is a message from Lighthouse Northwest:
Our heart is to walk beside any woman who has experienced abuse whether recently or decades ago. Through our Rise monthly support group we are able to do just that! The support group is a place for women to build meaningful, supportive relationships and heal from abuse within a safe community.
A women in Rise recently shared “being able to talk out things from my past that I hadn’t healed from with a safe environment is what seems to be helping. No judgement. No opinions telling me what to do or not do. And sharing with people who have been through the same or very similar events is helpful too. So I feel more and more healed with every support group. Also being heard is big… with women who support. I always feel so encouraged from Rise.”
Each month we explore different topics that address the impact of abuse and the healing process. Topics include identifying the types of abuse and impact of trauma, personal safety, God’s design for healthy relationships, self-care, emotional health, communication, identity, trust, intimacy, forgiveness, shame, justice, and abundant life.
Another woman shared, “Support group is giving me the space to reflect on the impact of my childhood trauma, heal, and grow into who God created me to be.”
If you or someone you know would like more information about our monthly support group, contact sarah@lighthousenw.org. We have a new group starting on March 14th.
At Lighthouse, we want everyone who has experienced abuse to have the opportunity to heal and thrive in a life they love! Thank you for partnering us to make this possible.
With deep appreciation,
Sarah Tuttle
